HazTek is hiring an experienced Safety Specialist in Staten Island, NY to support our growing commercial construction projects. Responsibilities Provide full-time, dedicated on-site safety oversight Enforce project safety requirements and applicable OSHA standards Conduct daily safety inspections and identify potential hazards Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance Participate in pre-task planning, JHAs, toolbox talks, and safety meetings Document safety observations, corrective actions, and daily activities Work closely with project management and field teams to maintain a safe work environment Qualifications Construction safety experience required Strong concrete and/or heavy civil construction experience preferred Pier, marine, or waterfront construction experience is a plus OSHA 30 required Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards Strong communication and documentation skills CHST, ASP, CSP, or similar certification is a plus Embody HazTek's Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Dependability, Leadership, Accountability Overview HazTek Safety Management is a full-service, objective safety partner, founded in 1997.
