Job Description

HazTek is hiring an experienced Safety Specialist in Staten Island, NY to support our growing commercial construction projects. If you're passionate about making an impact, driving compliance, and building a culture where every worker goes home safe, we want you on our team. Responsibilities Provide full-time, dedicated on-site safety oversight Enforce project safety requirements and applicable OSHA standards Conduct daily safety inspections and identify potential hazards Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance Participate in pre-task planning, JHAs, toolbox talks, and safety meetings Document safety observations, corrective actions, and daily activities Work closely with project management and field teams to maintain a safe work environment Qualifications Construction safety experience required Strong concrete and/or heavy civil construction experience preferred Pier, marine, or waterfront construction experience is a plus OSHA 30 required Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards Strong communication and documentation skills CHST, ASP, CSP, or similar certification is a plus Embody HazTek's Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Dependability, Leadership, Accountability Overview HazTek Safety Management is a full-service, objective safety partner, founded in 1997. Pay Range $90,000-115,000 Travel | Relocation Local Only - No travel, per diem or relocation is offered for this opportunity
