Competitive hourly pay rate plus additional health benefit Position Overview Ion Computer Systems is seeking two experienced Environment, Safety & Health Representatives (ESHR) to support operations on-site at Brookhaven Science Associates/Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) in Upton, NY . This is a hands-on, field-based role within a highly regulated scientific and research environment. The ESHR will act as a technical resource responsible for identifying hazards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting safe work practices across laboratory, research, and construction activities on the BNL campus. Key Responsibilities Identify job hazards, conduct exposure evaluations, and develop appropriate control measures Prepare and present environmental, health, and safety briefings Consult with stakeholders on compliance with Department of Energy (DOE), OSHA , and applicable national consensus standards Conduct environmental, health, and safety inspections and track corrective and remedial actions Support project work planning and perform EHS reviews for construction, fabrication, experimental, and operational activities Use inspection, testing, monitoring, and measurement equipment to verify safe levels of environmental and safety hazards Conduct general safety reviews (e.g., fall protection, scaffolds, etc.) Perform industrial hygiene monitoring related to chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic stressors Provide environmental compliance oversight with a focus on RCRA and other regulated wastes in laboratory settings Promote chemical hazard awareness for hazardous and flammable materials in laboratories and other work areas Work Environment This is a fully on-site role at Brookhaven National Laboratory .

Work locations may include:

Chemical laboratories Research and clinical facilities Construction and fabrication projects Roof work Field conditions in or adjacent to chemical, radiological, biological, and/or hazardous material work areas

Qualifications Experience:

3-5 years of Environment, Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Compliance experience

Education:

Bachelor's degree required (BA or equivalent)

Required Knowledge:
