Job Description

To assist the Health & Safety Inspector in the inspection, care and maintenance of fire extinguishers and life safety equipment.
Career Readiness Competencies :
Career & Self-Development Communication Critical Thinking Perform monthly fire and life safety device inspections. Perform minor maintenance & periodic adjustments to fire extinguishers, cabinets & related equipment. Identify & report other safety violations. Other duties as assigned. Exchange and replace fire extinguishers as needed. Write incident reports. Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, push & carry up to 50 lbs. Willing & able to follow directions & work independently. Maintain valid driver's license & be insurable by BGSU. Familiar with MS Office programs, including Word & Excel. Must be attentive to detail and accuracy.
