Days Responsibilities Include:
Maintaining training equipment at site (computer and access to a projector/monitor) Coordinating with HR for record keeping of all safety documents Presiding over the site safety committees and performing periodic audits of site Assisting Site Manager on Environmental practices at each site Assisting in other departments and/or functional areas as required Identifying Lean and/or Continuous Improvement opportunities Leading Kaizen, 5S, and Set-up Reduction events Collecting and analyzing data prior to and during Lean events Performing hands-on activities to implement Continuous Improvement ideas Oversight of Continuous Improvement activities Developing and delivering report-outs on completed projects Monitoring the sustainment of completed initiatives by maintaining 30-day list records and following up with assignees to promote task completion Developing and maintaining standard work in work cells Creating and initiating training documents for all manufacturing areas of the plant Analyzing and developing time standards Assisting and serving as backup for Quality Technician Maintaining a thorough awareness of OSHA regulations and industry standards Attending safety training and seminars as needed Implementing corporate safety policies and revising to meet site specific needs in conjunction with corporate safety officer approval Coordinating, with assistance from appropriate company entities (Safety, HR, and Ops), the employee training required by company safety policies and practices
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required Possess excellent communication, listening, and persuasive skills Possess analytical and problem-solving skills Possess excellent organizational skills Possess a working knowledge of MS Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Possess a working knowledge of ES Self-directed and self-motivated Commitment to lead and drive change Possess 30 hours OSHA Compliance Certificate and attend periodic safety seminars to maintain awareness of current and developing safety issues 3-5 hours annual safety training/employee Regular and predictable attendance Must be safety oriented and work well with others
