- Regional Safety Professional
- at John W. Danforth Company, you will support safe work environments across our jobsites and facilities by partnering with operations teams to implement safety programs, identify risks, ensure compliance, and promote a strong safety culture. Your goal is to help reduce incidents and ensure every employee returns home safely each day.
- Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide guidance, training, and support to employees and project teams on safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits, inspections, and audits to identify and correct potential hazards.
- Partner with field leadership and operations teams to promote accountability and continuous safety improvement.
- Support the development and implementation of project-specific safety plans and programs.
- Lead or assist with incident, injury, and near-miss investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and customer safety requirements.
- Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to employees and field teams.
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and records as required.
- Encourage and promote a strong safety culture aligned with Danforth's values.
- Qualifications
- 5-10 years of safety experience in construction, mechanical contracting, industrial, or a related industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and influence employees at all levels.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
