This position will play an important role in maintaining a strong safety culture, supporting employees and field leadership, and ensuring compliance with company HSE policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. The successful candidate must be willing to work closely with field and shop personnel, respond to incidents when needed, and maintain accurate and timely safety documentation. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine field location audits to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe work practices, and opportunities for improvement. Perform regular shop and facility inspections and follow up with management to ensure identified deficiencies are corrected. Provide Samsara and fleet support , including monitoring driver performance, reviewing safety events, assisting with system-related issues, and communicating concerns to management. Assist with vehicle accident and workplace incident reporting, investigations, documentation, and corrective-action follow-up . Respond to incidents and accidents as needed and ensure employees follow PPC's established reporting procedures. Manage and support Novara Flex , including incident reports, inspections, training records, corrective actions, and other required HSE documentation. Perform accurate and timely HSE data entry, recordkeeping, and reporting . Monitor Journey Management activities and support compliance with driver-fatigue and safe-travel requirements. Review the completion of required vehicle pre-trip inspections, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and assigned safety training . Assist with safety orientations, toolbox talks, employee training, and other safety-related meetings. Communicate company safety expectations, policies, and procedures to employees, supervisors, and field leadership. Provide support and guidance to operations regarding safety questions, concerns, hazards, and corrective actions. Participate in pre-job planning and help ensure hazards and appropriate control measures are identified before work begins. Track corrective actions and work with responsible personnel to ensure items are completed by the required deadline. Maintain organized and accurate inspection, training, incident, and compliance records. Assist with customer HSE requirements, audits, and documentation when requested. Promote employee participation in safety programs and encourage the reporting of hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions. Maintain professional working relationships with employees, customers, contractors, and company leadership. Promote a proactive safety culture and help ensure safety expectations are consistently followed throughout the organization. Perform other HSE-related duties as assigned. Job Requirements Previous oil and gas industry experience is required . Previous experience in an HSE, safety, or field-operations position is preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test . Must remain eligible to participate in the company's drug and alcohol testing program, including random, reasonable-suspicion, post-incident, and other testing required by company policy or applicable regulations. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to travel to PPC shops, customer locations, and field operations throughout the Ohio area. Must be available to respond to incidents, accidents, or urgent safety concerns when necessary. Must be able to work outdoors in changing weather and field conditions. Must be able to safely perform required inspections and access shops, yards, vehicles, equipment, and field locations. Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment. Must maintain confidentiality when handling employee, medical, investigation, and company information. Must demonstrate professionalism, dependability, accountability, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Must be comfortable addressing unsafe actions and communicating safety expectations respectfully but firmly. Must follow all PPC policies, customer requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
