Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, compliant, and sustainable work environment. This energetic position offers the opportunity to lead safety initiatives, develop training programs, and ensure adherence to environmental and occupational health regulations. Your proactive approach will help prevent workplace incidents, promote safety awareness, and support our commitment to environmental stewardship. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies and procedures aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and workers' compensation law requirements. Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and root cause analysis to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions promptly. Lead training & development sessions on topics such as first aid, CPR, OSHA standards, occupational health practices, and emergency response protocols. Manage incident reporting processes by preparing detailed reports, investigating accidents or near misses, and recommending preventive measures. Coordinate emergency preparedness activities including first aid response, CPR training, and ensuring availability of safety equipment across the facility. Stay current with evolving environmental regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement. Collaborate with management to foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the organization. Qualifications Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial settings with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and workers' compensation law. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly preferred; additional safety certifications are a plus. Knowledge of occupational health principles and experience conducting root cause analysis for safety incidents. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to document investigations clearly and accurately. Strong communication skills to effectively deliver training & development sessions and safety messages across diverse teams. Ability to analyze hazards systematically and implement effective corrective actions promptly.
