We electrify the world with advanced grid technology and accelerate the energy transition An EHS Site Specialist works to promote a fair, reporting and learning culture on project sites, to ensure compliance to GE EHS standards, and to help innovate solutions to protect the health and safety of workers. The Roles & Responsibilities section below best defines the role, which prioritizes the proactive management of site EHS risks. This role requires EHS Site Specialists to familiarize themselves with the work being performed by the personnel in the field and EHS Site Specialists will receive day to day management and development support from Senior EHS leader. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Individual located at manufacturing sites and fixed facilities that provide day-to-day EHS support for that facility. Ensure regulatory compliance for the sites, by ensuring any requirements of permits, reporting and policies are in place and current. Help manage injury reports and care management Conduct EHS audits in support of compliance assurance activities. Provide tactical issue resolution. Work closely with operations team to identify and address EHS issues related to site operations and equipment. Conduct EHS trainings for forklifts, cranes, etc. Assist with EHS program implementation, identify gaps and provide guidance on improvement opportunities. Provide day-to-day EHS support for facility with continuous shop floor presence Partner with Operations leadership and hourly employees to ensure safety practices are understood and embraced Participate in site EHS inspections, audits to identify EHS deficiencies and define actions to close gaps, resolve issues Follow up and support to close ATS findings, employee concerns, Gensuite compliance calendar tasks Participate in EHS incident investigations Provide input, develop and maintain the area risk assessments Provide EHS support for different type of changes at the site (for ex.: new machine installation, layout changes…) Participate in GE EHS initiatives and programs Provide expert advice, guidance, and direct assistance to ensure site compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations, guidelines, and permit requirements. Required Qualifications Desired but not required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Health & Safety, Environmental Services or similar Minimum of 1 year of experience in EHS with a focus in a manufacturing/industrial environment Additional Information GE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
