UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital is looking for passionate Crisis Safety Specialist to join our team at resolve Crisis Services! resolve is a 24-hour, 365-day crisis service including a 24-hour hotline, mobile crisis team, walk in center and services for children's and teens. Position Purpose:
Greet customers, patients, and visitors. Conduct safety searches on all entering the building. Assist in managing the front desk and support the milieu. Aid in developing and implementing safety management for walk-in and residential environments.
Responsibilities:
Participate in staff meetings and committees. Report safety concerns immediately. Provide customer service. Handle disruptive individuals using de-escalation techniques. Demonstrate knowledge of mental health laws. Answer phones and direct calls. Complete reports and incident documentation. Orient new crisis staff. Enforce UPMC policies and maintain a secure environment. Manage evidence, valuables, and lost/found items. Respond to crisis situations as a team member.
