The Catering Staff position supports the preparation, organization, delivery, and service of catering orders within a secure environment at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). This role requires reliability, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to follow all company and site-specific security and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, portioning, packaging, and organization of catering orders.

Verify catering orders for accuracy and completeness prior to delivery.

Load, transport, and deliver food, beverages, supplies, and equipment to designated locations within LANL.

Set up catering orders and service areas as required.

Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control practices during preparation, transportation, delivery, and service.

Safely handle and transport catering equipment, food containers, and supplies.

Follow delivery schedules and coordinate with catering and management staff to ensure orders arrive accurately and on time.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of food preparation, staging, delivery, and catering areas.

Follow all LANL access, security, safety, and site-specific procedures while working within the secure environment.

Maintain professional conduct when interacting with LANL personnel, customers, and other team members.

Assist with additional food service, catering, and operational duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.

Must meet all requirements necessary to obtain and maintain the badge/access credentials required for the position.

U.S. citizenship is required for the LANL badging/access applicable to this position.

Must be dependable and able to report to scheduled shifts and deliveries on time.

Must be able to follow food safety, workplace safety, and secure-site procedures.

Must be comfortable working within a controlled and secure environment.

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry, load, and unload food and catering supplies throughout the workday.

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record may be required for employees responsible for catering deliveries.
