Mold and moisture assessments Indoor air quality testing VOC and formaldehyde testing Asbestos inspections and sampling Lead inspections and testing Fire and smoke contamination assessments Industrial hygiene services Allergen testing Water and soil testing Post-remediation verification Building-related environmental consulting The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and certified Environmental Consultant who is comfortable managing the full client experience from the initial consultation and project sale through inspection, sampling, documentation, and final recommendations. AQT provides inbound client opportunities, environmental testing equipment, personal protective equipment, laboratory coordination, operational support, and report-production assistance. This position is designed for a consultant who wants the flexibility of a part-time to full-time schedule, hourly security, and significant commission-based earning potential. Consultants who provide excellent service, close more projects, and appropriately expand project scopes can substantially increase their earnings. Primary Responsibilities Consult with inbound residential and commercial clients Understand client concerns and recommend appropriate environmental testing Develop project scopes, pricing, and sampling plans Close assigned client opportunities Schedule and confirm projects Identify appropriate additional testing when site conditions support it Perform environmental inspections and sample collection Conduct moisture, infrared, and visual building assessments Inspect attics, crawlspaces, and other accessible building areas when safe Document observations through photographs, videos, and detailed field notes Complete chain-of-custody and laboratory documentation Maintain accurate project, CRM, and timekeeping records Communicate preliminary observations professionally without overstating findings Review laboratory results and report drafts Add project-specific findings, recommendations, and corrections Coordinate with AQT's report-writing and quality-assurance team Maintain and protect company equipment Follow company safety, ethical, and quality-control procedures Hourly Compensation The consultant is paid hourly for all compensable work, including: Client consultations and sales calls Follow-up communication Compensable business travel Inspections and sampling Laboratory drop-offs Equipment and supply stops Field documentation Report review and recommendations Meetings and training Required administrative work Consultants using an approved personal vehicle for authorized company business receive separate mileage reimbursement, plus reimbursement for approved parking and tolls.Commission Compensation The consultant earns:
15% of qualifying collected AQT service revenue from projects personally closed by the consultant. The written commission agreement will explain: What qualifies as personally closed revenue When commission is earned When commission is paid Client payment requirements Cancellations and refunds Shared projects Onsite additions Adjustments and employment termination Commission is uncapped, meaning there is no maximum amount the consultant can earn from qualifying revenue. Required Qualifications Currently holds at least one relevant environmental, indoor-air-quality, mold, asbestos, lead, industrial-hygiene, or building-science certification Professional experience performing environmental inspections, testing, sampling, or building assessments Strong client-consultation and sales-closing ability Ability to develop appropriate testing scopes and sampling plans Strong technical documentation and report-review skills Ability to explain technical information clearly and professionally Strong attention to detail and commitment to objective consulting Ability to work independently in residential and commercial environments Comfortable accessing attics, crawlspaces, and other building areas when safe Valid driver's license Acceptable driving history Reliable transportation for field assignments Ability to use mobile applications, CRM systems, and digital reporting tools Ability to follow company procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards Relevant Certifications May Include Certified Asbestos Consultant — CAC Certified Site Surveillance Technician — CSST Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor NORMI Certified Mold Assessor —CMA NORMI

Work Schedule and Territory This is a flexible field-based position serving Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area. The position may range from part-time to full-time , depending on consultant availability, client demand, project location, certifications, geographic routing, and business needs. Consultants may complete multiple projects in one day and may travel throughout their assigned service territory. AQT does not guarantee a fixed number of projects, hours, or a 40-hour workweek.
