Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Construction Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and construction equipment to ensure efficient and safe completion of construction projects. Your expertise will help drive project success, maintain safety standards, and uphold quality workmanship across diverse site operations. Duties Operate heavy construction machinery including excavators, loaders, backhoes, water trucks, and Caterpillar equipment to perform excavation, grading, utility work, and site preparation tasks. Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. Assist with construction utility work such as utility locating to accurately identify underground lines before excavation begins. Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe work environment for all team members. Perform construction site tasks including grading, trenching, backfilling, and site cleanup while adhering to project specifications. Support construction utility installation by operating specialized machinery like water trucks and excavators for precise utility placement. Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections in accordance with company policies. Qualifications Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience. Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators and loaders in a construction setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance on construction equipment. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and adherence to safety regulations on job sites. Construction site experience with a focus on excavation, grading, utility work, and general construction activities. Knowledge of construction utility work, including utility locating procedures and underground line identification. Ability to operate specialized equipment such as Caterpillar machinery safely and efficiently. Excellent understanding of heavy equipment operation standards and safety procedures required for construction grading and site preparation. Join us in building the future!
