Sumitomo Corporation of America Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist plants in maintaining & updating EHS policies and procedures. Evaluation of EHS Hazards, Risks, and Impacts to the company and individual facilities. Develops, implements, and participates in the SMS programs. Develops and assists in conducting EHS&S training for the workforce. Assist in conducting ergonomic evaluations and training. Assist in providing hazard analysis required for Standardized Work Instructions and related forms. Assist in conducting EHS&S and SMS related audits and assessments, Risk Assessments, prepare reports, and conduct follow-up on actions. Coordinate Industrial Hygiene exposure assessments and follow up on results. Assist in integrating EHS&S requirements into procedures, work instructions, and controls. Promote and maintain safety awareness and a positive attitude towards incident prevention. Participate with Managers and Supervisors in incident investigation/prevention follow-up. Evaluate EHS&S statistics and suggest actions for incident prevention. Monitoring implementation of corrective actions. Participate in
ISO 14001
(or similar programs) internal audits. Understands and adheres to current health, safety, and environmental regulations and is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action regarding EHS&S concerns. About the
