Overview
Job Summary
The Patient Safety Companion will remain with a patient for a designated timeframe to maintain the patient's safety (i.e. prevention of falls, wandering or disruptions of patient care).
Responsibilities:
Be a pleasant and supportivepanion. any unusual incidents. Remain with assigned patient at all time.
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency, escalating for the appropriate response.
Assist with ambulation/toileting/transportation.
Performs direct patient care duties as assigned under the direction of licensed nursing personnel. Perform duties in a manner that is consistent with established policies and procedures. Provide patient safety Document in the electronic medical record.
Participates in ongoing educational activities. Other duties as assigned.
