Job Description We are seeking a Construction Safety Specialist to support ongoing construction and infrastructure projects with a strong focus on safety compliance, training development, and field safety oversight. This role will support active construction operations by promoting safe work practices, developing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), delivering training, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards and procedures. The position is primarily remote-based but requires routine travel to project sites in and around Amarillo, Abilene, and Llano. Candidates must be located within driving distance of Amarillo and able to travel regularly to construction sites. Responsibilities Safety Program Support Develop and maintain Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for construction activities. Support implementation and enforcement of site safety policies, procedures, and standards. Conduct field safety observations, audits, inspections, and hazard assessments. Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking. Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities. Training & Compliance Develop and deliver safety training programs for construction personnel and contractors. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements. Maintain safety documentation, records, and reporting requirements. Assist with onboarding and orientation for new personnel entering project sites. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety performance and compliance. Field & Project Coordination Coordinate with construction teams, contractors, and project leadership regarding safety expectations and field activities. Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and project planning discussions. Provide guidance and support to field personnel regarding safe work practices. Travel routinely to active construction sites to support field operations and safety oversight. Skills Construction safety management Job Safety Analysis (JSA) development Safety training development and delivery OSHA compliance and standards Hazard identification and mitigation Incident investigation and root cause analysis Field safety audits and inspections Contractor safety oversight Safety documentation and reporting Communication and leadership skills Problem-solving and organizational skills Microsoft Office proficiency Qualifications Experience in construction safety required. Strong experience writing and developing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs). Experience developing and conducting safety training programs. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and construction safety standards. Ability to work independently in a primarily remote environment while supporting field operations. Must be located within driving distance of Amarillo and able to travel routinely to project sites in Abilene and Llano. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Ability to support a 5/2 schedule with standard 8-hour workdays.Job Details:
