EHS Technician, Production Control Tesla Motors, Inc. paid holidays, flex time, 401(k) United States, Texas, Austin Apr 29, 2026 What to Expect Tesla is looking for a highly motivated Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Technician to join the EHS team. EHS Technicians are a critical part of the day-to-day operations, providing practical and active support to the Production Control (Material Handling) team, ensuring EHS compliance requirements are met, enhancing employee engagement, and driving continuous improvement of overall processes and systems.

They will use human and organizational principles to drive operational ownership of safety, health and environmental impacts, with a focus on engagement, learning from events, training, and problem solving. This role offers the opportunity for growth in technical and professional skillsets. What You'll Do Maintain a strong presence on the floor to engage with material handlers, production associates, leaders, and stakeholders, driving a culture in which safety is integrated with the business Facilitate event follow-ups from a Learning Teams approach, ensuring worker involvement and that preventative and mitigative actions address system causes and not just individual behaviors Analyze event trends and use risk-assessment methods to identify continuous improvement projects that reduce injuries, illnesses and environmental impact events Participate in pre-job planning and verification of controls/safeguards before new, high risk, and non-standard work begins Perform Job/Task Hazard Assessments and help develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Review SOPs and work practices to identify any safety concerns Perform audits and inspections, document results, and verify action closure Develop, implement, and maintain EH&S policies, plans, and procedures while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations What You'll Bring Minimum 2 years of work experience as an EHS professional (EHS technician, EHS Specialist, EHS coordinator), preferably in a manufacturing, oil & gas, construction, or similar workplace Experience supporting EHS program development and implementation, including training all levels of personnel and influencing/managing change to reduce risk and improve outcomes by working with cross functional teams Experience with hazard analysis methods, hazard communication, powered industrial vehicle safety, OSHA compliance, event/incident learnings, and corrective action management DOT safety compliance and warehousing safety experience preferred Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure while managing competing demands and deadlines Excellent communication, customer service, team work, and collaboration skills Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Work, Power Point, Project, etc.) Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
