Responsibilities Perform comprehensive safety audits and inspections to identify hazards related to hazardous materials, environmental regulations, and workplace safety standards. Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems in compliance with EPA regulations and other environmental regulatory standards. Conduct safety training sessions on OSHA regulations, hazard communication, emergency response procedures, and OSHA-compliant practices for employees. Respond promptly to safety incidents or near-misses by conducting root cause analysis and preparing detailed incident reports. Ensure compliance with workers' compensation law, occupational health standards, and environmental health requirements through regular monitoring and documentation. Assist in the development of safety protocols related to hazardous materials handling, environmental regulatory compliance, and workplace safety initiatives. Support employee health programs by ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance standards in production environments and maintaining accurate report writing records. Skills Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and environmental regulatory compliance standards. Experience with environmental management systems (EMS) and environmental health practices in manufacturing or industrial settings. Proficiency in report writing, root cause analysis, and incident investigation techniques. Excellent communication skills for delivering effective training & development sessions on safety topics. Familiarity with workers' compensation law, occupational health expertise, and legal compliance standards in production environments. Ability to interpret environmental health data and implement corrective actions accordingly. Certification in first aid (CPR), OSHA safety training, or related fields is highly desirable; additional certifications such as EPA or hazard communication are a plus.
