This role is vital in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment, and fostering a culture of health and safety awareness among employees. The EHS Coordinator will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving safety protocols to protect our workforce and the environment. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive workplace safety policies and procedures aligned with regulatory standards. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the work environment. Promote occupational health initiatives to ensure employee well-being, including ergonomic assessments and health promotion programs. Monitor compliance with environmental health regulations and ensure proper handling of hazardous materials. Provide training sessions for employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and environmental health protocols. Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with management and staff to foster a culture of safety awareness across all departments. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and compliance documentation. Stay informed about changes in EHS regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance. Requirements Proven experience in workplace safety, occupational health, or environmental health roles. Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to the industry. Excellent communication skills to effectively train employees and collaborate with teams at all levels. Ability to conduct thorough safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for recordkeeping and compliance documentation. Relevant certifications such as OSHA or NEBOSH are preferred but not mandatory.
