Patient Care Technician (PCT/CPCT/A) Trainer•
Part Time Location:
Texarkana, Texas
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
$90•$95 per instructional session , based on territory, experience, and certifications•Ability to teach more than one session per day is available and encouraged Monday-Friday Flexible scheduling based on instructor availability Typical class length: 1.5 hours Approximately 3 hours per instructional session including preparation and classroom responsibilities 1099

August 2026 ROLE IMPACT Help prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals by delivering engaging classroom and hands-on Patient Care Technician instruction. This flexible opportunity allows experienced healthcare professionals to continue working in their field while mentoring future patient care professionals. Comprehensive curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional resources are provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on Patient Care Technician instruction Prepare students for nationally recognized Patient Care Technician certifications Maintain required classroom documentation Foster a positive and professional learning environment Mentor students using real-world healthcare experience Teach at multiple campuses when available Opportunity to teach additional Healthcare Sciences programs if qualified
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Active CPCT/A, PCT, CPT, CNA, or other nationally recognized Patient Care Technician certification (or equivalent credential as accepted by the program) Minimum 3 years of recent Patient Care Technician experience OR 1 year of Patient Care Technician instructional experience Ability to successfully complete FBI fingerprinting/background screening
CLINICAL SKILLS
Activities of daily living (ADLs) Patient hygiene and mobility assistance Vital signs and patient assessment Patient transfers and positioning Specimen collection Phlebotomy and EKG (preferred where applicable) Infection prevention and safety Electronic Health Records (EHR) Patient communication and therapeutic care Basic bedside care and patient observation
PREFERRED
Teaching, mentoring, coaching, or training experience Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to teach at multiple campuses
Pay:
$90.00•$95.00 per day
