•67 per hour Per Diem offered MOB Offer The Construction Safety Specialist serves as the owner's safety representative at construction project sites, working closely with Project Management, contractors, and field personnel to achieve project safety goals. This role is responsible for monitoring safety compliance, identifying potential hazards, conducting site inspections, and ensuring adherence to OSHA regulations and applicable safety standards. Key Responsibilities Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safety remains a priority throughout project execution. Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations, applicable state and federal requirements, and project-specific safety standards. Provide guidance on safety regulations, codes, and compliance requirements. Conduct safety orientations for new contractor personnel and audit required documentation. Perform regular site inspections, safety audits, and field observations to identify and address potential hazards. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and incident notification procedures. Investigate safety incidents, identify root causes, and monitor corrective actions. Prepare and distribute reports related to injuries, illnesses, vehicle incidents, and property damage. Review safety documentation, including confined space permits, excavation permits, crane lift plans, vehicle inspections, and operator certifications. Participate in contractor pre-job briefings, safety meetings, and project safety audits. Maintain a visible field presence, spending at least 80% of the workday onsite. Coach contractors and field personnel on safe work practices and address safety concerns as they arise. Stop work immediately when imminent danger or serious safety violations are identified. Coordinate with project management and contractors to resolve safety deficiencies and ensure timely corrective action. Support OSHA inspections and regulatory visits, including site walkthroughs and documentation. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend initiatives to reduce risk and improve safety performance. Mandatory Qualifications Candidates must meet at least one of the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in Safety or a closely related field, with at least five years of large-scale construction safety experience. Current

OSHA 500

designation and at least five years of experience as a lead safety professional. Certified Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) designation and at least four years of construction safety experience as a lead professional. Preferred Qualifications 1-3 years of experience as an owner's safety representative. 1-3 years of experience in a utility, industrial, or power generation environment. Experience conducting construction site inspections, safety audits, and incident investigations. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. A bachelor's degree in Safety or a related field qualifies toward one of the mandatory experience pathways.
