Job Description

As a Fleet Safety Specialist , you'll play a hands-on role in strengthening our safety culture through driver coaching, training, incident response, and proactive risk reduction. This position may be based out of one of our locations in Harrisonburg, VA or Richmond, VA Key Responsibilities Coaches and educates professional drivers on safe driving practices, Company policies, and regulatory requirements to improve safety performance and reduce risk. Responds to safety-related incidents, conducts investigations, identifies root causes, and helps implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Partners closely with Operations and other teams to promote a proactive safety culture, strengthen safety awareness, and support continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For:
Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong critical thinking and investigative skills. Confident communicator with a coaching-focused approach. Positive energy & a solution-focused mindset. 2+ years of transportation experience. Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations. Class A CDL and onboard camera/electronic logging system experience preferred. Ability to work onsite at one of our PA, occasional travel as needed.
