$37.55 ( SC11SEIU25-26.pdf) position is eligible for membership in the Service Employees International Union No 925. Additional information regarding Salary Schedules, Benefits, and Employee Group Agreements can be found here This position is posted in accordance with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Collective Bargaining Agreement transfer process outlined in Section 15.9 The position will be posted internally for five (5) workdays. SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Associate Director of School Safety and School Administrator, the School Safety and Prevention Specialist ("SSPS") patrols the school campus to ensure the safety and protection of students, staff, and property. They serve as a proactive team member focused on relationship based and student-centered preventative strategies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school graduation or GED equivalent Two years of college course work in an applicable field preferred Two years of experience working with middle and/or high school age youth
LICENSE/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must pass a pre-employment physical Possession of a valid Washington State Driver's License and access to personal vehicle CPR, AED, and First Aid preferred
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Generally, the job requires 60% walking, 20% standing and 20% sitting. The job is performed in an indoor and outdoor environment and is subject to various temperature variations and adverse weather conditions in a generally hazard free environment, and in a clean atmosphere.
