Job Description
Baker Manufacturing Company LLC in Evansville, WI is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety professional to lead safety and environmental initiatives in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This role develops and enforces EHS policies, conducts audits and incident investigations, ensures OSHA and environmental compliance, and drives continuous improvement in safety culture. You will partner with production, maintenance, and leadership to reduce risk, deliver engaging safety training, track key metrics, and champion best practices that protect our people, products, and community. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs for manufacturing operations Conduct regular safety and environmental audits, inspections, and risk assessments Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-up Deliver and coordinate safety, health, and environmental training for employees and supervisors Monitor OSHA and environmental regulatory changes and support compliance activities Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics and trends Coordinate waste handling, chemical management, and environmental reporting with internal teams and vendors Partner with production and maintenance to integrate safety into daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives Promote a strong safety culture through communication, coaching, and employee engagement Support emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response procedures Required Skills OSHA compliance EPA and environmental regulations Job hazard analysis (JHA) Incident investigation and root cause analysis Safety training development and delivery Risk assessment and mitigation Safety audits and inspections Data tracking and safety metrics reporting PPE selection and implementation Written safety policy and procedure development
