Job Description

Job Overview The Security Manager is responsible for protecting employees and customers from harm, and for safeguarding the property of the Tribe, the Casino, the employees, and the customers. The Security Manager oversees all security activities. The Security Manager reports to the General Manager. The duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, and disciplining Security Officers Evaluating performance of Security personnel Administering lost- and- found Maintaining a rapport with Tribal and local law enforcement officials Investigating thefts, accidents, possible Compact violations, and other unusual occurrences. Monitoring alarms Maintaining required reports, records, and logs Maintaining a key log and a log of radio Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions. Performing other duties assigned by the General Manager Qualifications The Security Manager must possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED, pass Total Alcohol Management, and must have a minimum of five years' experience in law enforcement, private security, private investigation, or other comparable experience. The Security Manager should have at least two years' experience in a managerial or supervisory level position. The individual must be able to pass a private background check, as well as a pre-employment drug test. The Security Manager should be familiar with the laws and regulations that govern gaming, including the Tribe's Compact with the State of Arizona. The security Manager must be able to pull, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds. The Security Manager must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time and work in a smoke-filled environment. The Security Manager must be able to withstand exposure to the summer heat and all other climatic conditions of the local area, while performing duties on the Casino premises.
