Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, conducting patrols, and ensuring compliance with security policies. Responsibilities Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises. Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR as necessary. Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to monitor activities and ensure safety protocols are followed. Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, accidents, or any unusual occurrences. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and assist in investigations related to loss prevention or security breaches. Manage conflicts effectively through de-escalation techniques while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Qualifications Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention strategies is an asset. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments. Must possess a valid security license or certification as required by local regulations.
