Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented SCI Security Specialist I to join our team in El Segundo, CA . This role supports the local Special Security Office (SSO) in managing day-to-day Collateral and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) activities to protect critical national security assets. Responsibilities Formulate local policies, plans, and procedures required to manage SCI protection functions in strict accordance with DoD, DNI, and Air Force regulations. Maintain and update the SCI Billet Structure (SCIBS) and Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) records for over 1,000 indoctrinated personnel. Review eligibility requests, conduct screening interviews, perform indoctrination briefings, and issue facility badge access. Investigate security incidents alongside the SSO and ISSM, coordinate with higher headquarters for tracking numbers, and guide Inquiry Officials through the resolution process. Provide continuous operational security (OPSEC), communications security (COMSEC), and classification marking training to personnel. Coordinate industrial security procedures by reviewing Performance Work Statements (PWS) and ensuring the proper execution of DD Form 254. Assist the SSO in maintaining facility accreditation and alarm systems for all designated SCI Facilities (SCIFs) in accordance with ICD 705. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4 additional years of equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree. 3+ years of related experience working directly with SCI Security program functions.
