Summary- The Security Business Development Manager is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth by developing new business opportunities and expanding existing client relationships within an assigned geographic region or vertical market. This role focuses on consultative selling of security officer services, mobile patrol, technology-enabled security solutions, and integrated security programs. The Security Business Development Manager develops and executes strategic sales plans, builds executive-level relationships, manages a robust sales pipeline, and collaborates closely with Operations, Recruiting, Finance, Marketing, and Leadership to deliver customized security solutions that meet client needs while achieving profitability objectives. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-driven security business development professional with a strong new-business focus who consistently works toward exceeding sales and margin goals, builds a sustainable pipeline of qualified opportunities, and delivers profitable growth. Core Duties - Business Development Develop and execute a territory sales plan aligned with regional growth objectives. Identify, qualify, and pursue new security services business opportunities through cold calling, networking, industry associations, referrals, social selling, marketing campaigns, and strategic partnerships. Build relationships with C-suite executives, procurement leaders, facility managers, HR leaders, property managers, and security decision-makers. Maintain an accurate and current database of prospects and sales opportunities. Conduct discovery meetings to understand client challenges and recommend customized security solutions. Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with qualified opportunities at each stage of the sales process. Consistently work toward achieving or exceeding assigned sales and profitability targets. Sales Strategy & Execution Develop pricing strategies in partnership with Operations and Leadership. Prepare professional proposals, presentations, RFQs, RFPs, and contract responses. Present security capabilities, solutions, and value propositions to prospective clients. Lead sales negotiations through contract execution. Monitor prospect contract expiration dates and develop proactive business development strategies. Maintain accurate sales forecasts and opportunity information within the applicable CRM system. Market Intelligence Monitor market trends, competitive activity, pricing, and changes within the security services industry. Analyze local economic conditions and competitive positioning. Identify emerging industries, target accounts, and new security business opportunities. Provide recommendations regarding potential services, markets, and growth opportunities. Perform additional duties and responsibilities of a similar nature as needed to support assigned business objectives. Success Metrics- Success in this position may be measured using several key performance indicators, including but not limited to: Annual new contract revenue Gross margin on new business Revenue and margin growth compared with established goals Sales and prospecting activity Lead-to-opportunity conversion rate Qualified pipeline development Forecast accuracy Qualifications- Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of business-to-business sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position. Experience selling contract-based services preferred. Experience in security services, facilities management, staffing, janitorial services, technology solutions, or a related industry strongly preferred. Ability to successfully complete applicable pre-employment screening, which may include a background investigation and drug screening, where permitted by applicable law. Frequent local and regional travel, with occasional national travel, may be required for client meetings, presentations, site visits, networking events, and business development activities. May occasionally be required to lift or transport presentation materials or other business-related items weighing up to approximately 20 pounds.
