Full Job Description Overview:
The Program Security Specialist provides comprehensive support to Special Access Programs (SAPs) by administering physical, personnel, classified, industrial, and communications security functions in compliance with DoDM 5205.07 and
NPR 1600.2B.
The PSS partners with government stakeholders to safeguard facilities, personnel, information, and material across the SAP lifecycle
Responsibilities:
Support physical security programs, including SAP facility construction reviews, accreditations, inspections, lock/combination control, and facility documentation management. Serve as SAP Personnel Security Official (SPO); process Program Access Requests (PARs), conduct interviews, indoctrinations, and maintain Personnel Security Files. Manage foreign travel and contact reporting, classified visits, and visitor certifications. Conduct security education and training, including briefings and development of training materials. Perform classified management control, serving as SAP Accountability Officer (SAO), managing TS material accountability systems, and supporting secure communications. Support industrial security activities, including DD Form 254 maintenance and policy distribution. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. 3 or more years of experience in SAP, program, or industrial security. Working knowledge of
DODM 5205.07, NPR
1600.2B, and related security directives. Experience with security systems/databases (e.g., SIMS, JADE, SharePoint). Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a classified environment and perform escort/courier duties. Teleworking Permitted?: false
