Job Description
CenCore is seeking a Site Security Manager (SSM) to oversee day-to-day security operations at a cleared, 24/7 data center construction site. This role helps ensure compliance with federal, state, local, customer, and contract-specific security requirements while maintaining a secure environment for personnel, property, and sensitive assets. The SSM provides direct supervision to unarmed security personnel, supports the Campus Security Manager, and serves as a key site leader for operational readiness, audits, inspections, post order compliance, training, documentation, and daily security performance. Key Responsibilities Assist the Campus Security Manager with execution of site security services and act as the designated backup when required.
Supervise, train, coach, and support unarmed security personnel assigned to the site.
Ensure security personnel consistently follow post orders, approved procedures, customer requirements, and site-specific security protocols.
Support recruitment, onboarding, orientation, training, development, and retention of security staff.
Verify that security personnel maintain required licensing, training, and compliance with applicable federal, state, local, customer, and contract requirements.
Maintain accountability, maintenance, and security of supplier-provided equipment, tools, expendable supplies, and assigned security resources.
Ensure personnel are trained and competent in site security systems, access control processes, equipment, emergency procedures, and response protocols.
Maintain accurate training records, incident logs, activity reports, post documentation, inspection records, and other required security documentation.
Prepare for and support internal and third-party audits, including unannounced inspections, by enforcing approved security controls and procedures.
Maintain standardized processes and audit-ready documentation to support compliance and operational readiness.
Serve as Acting Campus Security Manager as needed to cover staffing gaps, operational needs, or designated backup responsibilities.
