Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, high-caliber Director of Security to lead all security operations for a high-profile luxury property in the heart of Brickell. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding the property, residents, and assets while delivering exceptional hospitality-driven customer service. You will direct a dedicated team of security professionals, streamline operational processes, and maintain seamless relationships with property management and local law enforcement. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required for this role to effectively communicate with our diverse team, residents, and local community.
What You'll Do Team Leadership & Development:
Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate a team of security officers and supervisors. Build a culture of excellence, high morale, and elite service standards.
Operational Excellence:
Design and implement tailored operational strategies, safety protocols, and emergency response plans specific to the luxury residential environment.
Resource & Schedule Management:
Manage staff scheduling, post coverage, equipment, and technology deployment to ensure seamless, 24/7 security coverage (including special events).
Compliance & Risk Mitigation:
Ensure strict adherence to Florida state regulations, property guidelines, and industry standards. Proactively monitor risk trends and update safety measures accordingly.
Stakeholder & Client Relations:
Serve as the primary security liaison for property managers, board members, residents, and local law enforcement agencies in both English and Spanish.
Metrics & Reporting:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), track incident trends, and present regular operational reports to senior management and property leadership.
What We're Looking For Language Requirements:
Full bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required.
Experience:
5+ years of progressive security experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity (experience in luxury residential, high-end hospitality, or commercial real estate is strongly preferred).
Licensing:
Active Florida Class D Security License required . Professional certifications (CPP, PSP, etc.) are a strong plus.
Legal Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of Florida state and local laws governing private security operations.
Tech-Savvy:
Proficiency with security management software, access control systems, surveillance equipment, and basic office software.
Leadership & Communication:
Outstanding interpersonal skills with a proven track record of managing diverse teams and handling high-stress situations with composure.
Flexibility:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.
