Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Security Account Manager is the senior on-site security leader responsible for the overall performance of security operations for a large-scale industrial construction project. The role owns client service, the master schedule, personnel deployment, supervisor performance, post execution, incident response, and operational effectiveness. The Account Manager maintains a visible leadership presence while delegating appropriate day-to-day responsibilities to Shift Supervisors, who manage their assigned shifts, personnel, post coverage, inspections, and routine operational issues. The Account Manager retains overall accountability, provides direction and escalation support, and ensures consistent standards across all shifts. The Account Manager works with the client and Manager of Strategic Operations to establish staffing and coverage requirements and partners with the Staffing Coordinator, who owns recruiting, onboarding, personnel administration, and compliance support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. SITE LEADERSHIP & SECURITY OPERATIONS
Serve as the senior FAPS security representative assigned to the project and provide overall operational leadership to Shift Supervisors and security officers. Maintain a visible presence across the site and shifts, including periodic nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require. Establish and enforce standards for professionalism, attendance, appearance, customer service, reporting, and post performance. Develop, maintain, and refine site-specific post orders, patrol routes, access control procedures, and security protocols as project conditions change. Conduct and delegate post inspections, readiness checks, briefings, pass-downs, equipment checks, and officer accountability to Shift Supervisors; verify completion and address deficiencies. Maintain accountability for FAPS equipment, keys, radios, access credentials, vehicles, and other assigned security assets. 2.
MASTER SCHEDULE & POST COVERAGE
Own and maintain the master schedule, ensuring authorized posts, shifts, hours, and assignments align with approved staffing and contractual requirements. Maintain visibility of open shifts and positions and identify coverage risks before they become uncovered posts. Delegate first-line callout management and same-day coverage coordination to Shift Supervisors within established parameters, while retaining oversight of escalations, overtime, and coverage integrity. Ensure appropriate supervisory coverage is maintained on every shift and that no post is left uncovered without escalation and authorization. Provide the Staffing Coordinator timely information on open positions, required shifts, qualifications, and anticipated staffing needs. Manage scheduling proactively, using Shift Supervisors as operational extensions of account leadership rather than centralizing routine shift-level decisions. 3.
CLIENT & STAKEHOLDER RELATIONS
Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison between FAPS and designated client representatives. Attend project coordination, security, safety, and operational meetings as required. Represent FAPS professionally with the client, general contractor, project owner, subcontractors, vendors, employees, visitors, law enforcement, and emergency services. Communicate significant incidents, staffing concerns, service deficiencies, emerging risks, and recommended solutions promptly and proactively. 4.
PERSONNEL LEADERSHIP & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Lead, coach, and hold Shift Supervisors accountable for actively managing their assigned shifts and personnel. Delegate routine shift leadership, officer accountability, inspections, briefings, pass-downs, and initial resolution of operational issues to Shift Supervisors. Conduct or coordinate performance evaluations, coaching, recognition, and documented corrective action. Address recurring attendance, conduct, or performance issues and recommend reassignment, removal, or termination in coordination with FAPS leadership and HR. Identify high-performing personnel and develop employees with leadership potential. 5.
ACCOUNT MANAGER & STAFFING COORDINATOR PARTNERSHIP
The Account Manager and Staffing Coordinator operate as a coordinated account leadership team with distinct ownership. The Account Manager owns operations and the client relationship; the Staffing Coordinator owns the staffing pipeline and personnel administration. Our Core 7 Values Urgency. Right Thing. Problem Solver. Communication. Best. Accountable. Respect. These values guide how we serve clients, work together, and select new team members. Fidelis Academy and Protection Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer. If you need a reasonable accommodation during the application or interview process, please contact HR. Fidelis APS is a drug-free workplace and participates in E-Verify.
