SECURITY SPECIALIST
(PROTECTION)-TITLE 32, GS-0080-11, you will serve as the ARNG authority and expert on all mters involving protection functional elements and integrion of enabling functional requirements, policy, procedures, program stus. Serve as the conduit of informion between the intelligence community and law enforcement. Coordine, de-conflict, and integre various protection staff initiives, policies, and activities within the ste. Serve as consultant to the Chief of Staff and commanders on protection. Conduct intelligence integrion and informion operions to assess potential thre and cree integred protection program. Prepare Protection plans, write comprehensive all hazard plans, direct the use of security measures, incorpore anti-terrorism measures, and conduct protection resource management. Responsible for synchronizing daily operions and planning of resource management requirements for the Protection Program functional elements of Anti-Terrorism, Intelligence Support to Anti-terrorism, Emergency Management, Insider Thre, Law Enforcement, Mission Assurance, and Physical Security for the Ste ARNG. Receive, filter, focus, and fuse informion from a variety of sources to develop an understanding of real or potential thres to ste forces. Plan, conduct, or coordines on site security studies, projects, assessments, and surveys. Represent the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operions as the ARNG technical authority. May serve on boards, working groups, or committees to identify and resolve safeguards and security issues. May supervise AGR, Title 32, Title 5, contractors, and/or ste employees and perform associed administrive tasks. Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
Must have experience in a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems. Ability to develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods. Experience in informion, personnel, and physical security to effectively implement, integre and administer applicable security programs and/or coordine with other specialized security programs. Knowledge of security classificion methods, concepts, and eligibility for access to classified or sensitive informion.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Must have least 36 months experience and knowledge of a wide range of security specialties to include physical, personnel, and operional security. Experience in protection functional areas including antiterrorism, emergency management, law enforcement, and physical and operions security. Experience interpreting and implementing Executive Orders, legislion, and DoD, NGB, United Stes Army (USA), and/or MACOM policy requirements to provide overall enhanced security of installion resources and personnel. Experience briefing and advising supervisors and other security groups higher and lower echelons. Experience assessing da, writing reports, researching current world events, and maintaining official dabase informion. Experience th has provided a comprehensive knowledge of antiterrorism procedures.
