SECURITY SR MANAGER
Contribute to the strategic direction of the business and support impactful mission outcomes as a Sr Security Manager at GDIT. Here, you'll enable the success of the most critical government missions and the growth of a meaningful career in Security Operations.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Security Manager, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of National Security. You will play a crucial role in supporting a mission driven stable program. Lead day-to-day security operations for the program, including personnel, physical, and information/industrial security in accordance with [
NISPOM/32 CFR
Part 117, ICDs, DoD/IC guidance, customer directives]. Serve as primary security point of contact for program leadership and customer security representatives; provide clear, timely guidance on security policy, incident response, and risk mitigation. Oversee clearance processing and maintenance for program staff, coordinating with GDIT Security, HR, and Talent Acquisition to support staffing, mobility, and on-boarding timelines. Develop, maintain, and enforce program-specific security plans, SOPs, and training aligned with GDIT policies and contractual requirements. Monitor and report on security compliance, including self-inspections, audits, and corrective action plans; ensure documentation and artifacts are accurate, complete, and audit-ready. Manage incident reporting, investigations, and remediation activities; drive root cause analysis and implement process improvements to reduce repeat issues. Coordinate physical security measures for program facilities (e.g., access controls, visitor management, storage and transmission of classified materials). Partner with program management to review security requirements for new work, proposals, and on-contract growth; provide risk-informed recommendations and support transition-in/transition-out activities. Support employee engagement and education through recurring security briefings, targeted training, and responsive guidance to questions and concerns. Use data to monitor key security performance metrics (e.g., clearance processing cycle times, audit findings, incident trends) and recommend improvements that increase efficiency and reduce risk.

    Education:
    Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
      Experience:
      7+ years of related experience
      • Technical skills: Program facility processes, protocols, solid decision making, soft skills
      • Security clearance level: Top Secret with FS Poly
      • US citizenship required
      • Role requirements: energetic, self-starter, mission orientated

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
