POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS

): Afognak Diversified Services, Inc a subsidiary of Afognak Native Corporation has an opportunity for a full-timeCaptain of the Guard, (COTG) in Kinston, NC. The COTG reports to the Sr. Operations Manager and is responsible for the scheduling, operations, and quality of the service provided to Airbus. The COTG is responsible for the hiring and staffing at their facility. The COTG will coordinate with the Sr. Operations Manager on all matters concerning the discipline and corrective actions of employees and has the authority to take these actions. The COTG serves as the senior leader responsible for overseeing guard operations, enforcing security protocols, and ensuring the safety of personnel, facilities, and sensitive assets. This position requires a decisive and disciplined leader with a strong background in security operations, personnel management, and emergency response coordination. Provide daily leadership and oversight of all security operations, including personnel management, patrol coordination, inspections, and emergency response readiness.

Maintain optimal staffing levels for all facilities under the Captain of the Guard's command.

Ensure the quality of security services consistently meets or exceeds contractual and operational requirements.

Collaborate with the Sr. Operations Manager to verify all security personnel maintain current certifications, qualifications, and contract-mandated training.

Enforce compliance with established security policies, procedures, and regulations.

Direct and coordinate responses to security incidents and ensure proper documentation and follow-up actions.

Develop and manage guard schedules to ensure coverage while minimizing overtime.

Oversee payroll processing for assigned security staff.

Maintain accurate inventories of uniforms, equipment, and other security-related assets.

Manage the operation, maintenance, and readiness of company-owned vehicles assigned to security staff.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager to meet mission and operational requirements.

Payrate:

$60,000 to $63,000 Annually

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the law enforcement, security management, or related fields is preferred.
  • In lieu of the above, candidate must show a strong security background via Military service, security operations experience, Law Enforcement experience, or a combination of the above.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have an excellent working knowledge of access control systems and of protection criteria for sensitive/classified materials and facilities.
  • The candidate must show the ability to supervise subordinates in an effective and professional manner.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Must have demonstrated especially effective leadership and team-building skills.
  • Should have experience in labor relations, logistics, and communications.

Must have demonstrated excellent analytical, oral, verbal and writing skills.
