The EHR Security Support Analyst is responsible for maintaining user access, supporting security configuration, monitoring access-related activities, troubleshooting security issues, and assisting with the implementation and sustainment of EHR security controls within a Cerner environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Map and maintain EHR positions definitions (Millenium Positions, Preferences, and OHPAC Security groups). Review, process, create, modify, and terminate user access requests in accordance with established policies and role-based access requirements. Monitor and enforce appropriate use of EHR Access Control Positions and Policies, working to define and automate provisioning and offboarding procedures. Conduct internal security audits of the EHR application and monitor user behavior using tools like P2Sentinel to identify, investigate, and mitigate risks or security incidents. Collaborate with security officers, IT teams, and core teams to develop security policies, procedures, documentation, and downtime procedures. Participate in Cerner/OHPAC upgrades, security patches, system maintenance, and Domain Strategy initiatives. Stay informed about emerging security threats, regulatory changes, and best practices to recommend security environment improvements.
