This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for the overall performance and continued growth of the DFW business. The General Manager will lead across operations, sales, project execution, service, customer relationships, workforce development, and financial performance , with direct accountability for bookings, revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction. We're looking for an experienced building technologies leader who understands both the technical and business sides of the industry and is ready to take ownership of a growing market. What You'll Lead As General Manager, you will: Own branch performance across bookings, revenue, earnings, profitability, and customer satisfaction . Develop and execute annual operating, profit, and strategic plans in partnership with the President and executive leadership. Lead the continued development and growth of DAC's Building Automation and Security/Access Control businesses throughout Dallas/Fort Worth . Provide leadership and direction across sales, operations, engineering, project execution, installation, service, and other branch functions. Forecast and coordinate manpower, materials, cash requirements, and operational resources . Monitor branch and departmental bookings against sales forecasts and business objectives. Establish and evolve the organizational structure necessary to support continued growth. Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing managers and employees. Establish quarterly business goals and communicate expectations throughout the management team. Develop relationships with building owners, developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and other key partners throughout the DFW market. Support the development and delivery of turnkey building technology solutions, including engineering, implementation, construction management, system maintenance, and service. Maintain oversight of project performance and actively protect established profit margins throughout project execution. Review and approve new contracts, ensuring commercial terms, costs, risk, profitability, and resource requirements align with company expectations. Identify new products, services, technologies, processes, and operating practices that improve efficiency, quality, safety, and profitability. Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer service, operational excellence, and continuous improvement . What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is an experienced leader within the Building Automation, HVAC Controls, Security/Access Control, or Professional Building Services industry who has progressed beyond managing individual projects and is capable of leading an entire business operation. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 5+ years of management experience involving the engineering, installation, operations, and/or service of building technology systems. Strong understanding of construction, service, and project-based businesses. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, develop, and manage people. Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to understand revenue, profitability, forecasting, manpower planning, and operational performance. Industry knowledge necessary to evaluate project and business risk and make sound decisions. General understanding of construction contracts, commercial terms, and contract risk. Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, coaching, and presentation skills. Strongly Preferred 10+ years of experience within Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, Access Control/Security, or Professional Building Services . 6+ years of progressive operations leadership experience. Experience with P&L responsibility and branch, regional, or business-unit leadership . Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across operations, sales, project management, engineering, installation, service, and/or commissioning. Knowledge of the Dallas/Fort Worth commercial construction and building technologies market. MBA or advanced business degree. Who Should Consider This Opportunity?
