OUR PURPOSE AND CULTURE
We are driven to create a future where people and place enrich one another. We are wholly committed to rooting ourselves more deeply in every place we are in while setting new benchmarks for positive impact. As a pioneering collective with a common purpose, we curate extraordinary moments and honor the soul of every place along our journey. At Rosewood Hotel Group, we answer The Calling. Together, we Make the Place.
THE TEAM
The Security team plays a vital role in protecting our guests, associates, visitors, and assets while maintaining a safe and secure environment across all hotel operations. Reporting to the Senior Security Manager, the Assistant Security Manager supports the daily leadership of the department, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, operational standards, and security protocols while fostering a culture of professionalism and service excellence.
YOUR ROLE
As Assistant Security Manager, you will help lead the day-to-day operations of the Security Department and contribute to the overall safety and wellbeing of the hotel community. This position serves as a key operational leader, supporting security officers through training, coaching, and oversight while partnering closely with departments across the hotel. You will play an important role in maintaining life safety systems, coordinating security-related programs, conducting audits, and ensuring a secure environment that enables exceptional guest and associate experiences.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE PLACE
Support and direct the daily operations of the Security Department to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. Review security documentation, reports, logs, and records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures. Manage Lost and Found operations, including collection, documentation, storage, return, and disposal processes. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, maintaining all required records and supporting compliance initiatives. Coordinate security onboarding processes, including access control administration and employee credential issuance. Maintain employee vehicle registration records and locker assignment databases. Serve as a liaison for VIP guests and security details, ensuring professional and discreet support. Monitor and operate hotel life safety and security systems, responding appropriately to operational needs and emergencies.
COULD THIS BE YOU?
You bring experience within hotel, hospitality, corporate security, law enforcement, or a related security environment, along with exposure to team supervision or leadership responsibilities. You have a strong understanding of safety, security, and risk management practices and can confidently apply them in a dynamic hospitality setting. You are highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy. You communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and in person, and are comfortable presenting information and handling challenging interactions. You are proficient with Microsoft Office applications and can quickly learn and manage operational software and security platforms. You remain calm under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and approach problem-solving with professionalism and discretion. You work effectively both independently and collaboratively, building strong relationships across departments. You hold a high school diploma, are fluent in English, and possess the physical capability to perform the operational requirements of an active security leadership role.
OUR BENEFITS
As part of our team, you'll enjoy a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your wellbeing, professional growth, and life beyond work. This includes medical coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, complimentary room nights, learning and development opportunities, global career opportunities, and industry-leading paid parental leave supporting eligible associates across all paths to parenthood.
OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
At Rosewood Hotel Group, your voice is heard - and valued. We're a community that encourages associates to be themselves, not fit into a fixed culture, and this philosophy shines through in our commitments to reflect and honor the history, culture and geography of our destinations. We're not only committed to building and nurturing genuine, long-lasting relationships but to transforming them - and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy helps put these principles into practice.
