The Logistics Security Program Manager plays a critical role in creating, applying, and improving Micron's high-value logistics security efforts. This role centers on protecting high-value and high-risk shipments by defining risk-based security controls, boosting cargo-level visibility, tracking carrier and third-party logistics provider performance, and leading responses to customer concerns throughout global transportation networks. The program manager partners with Global Security, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Legal, Risk, and external logistics providers to ensure Micron operates a scalable, auditable, and response-ready model for high-value shipments. This role specifically covers program management in the Americas and Europe. ## ##Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for high-value logistics security, coordinating global transportation lanes, carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL partners.
- Develop and uphold risk-focused logistics security frameworks and control strategies for valuable and sensitive shipments spanning various regions, routes, and transportation methods.
- Establish security requirements for carriers and logistics providers, including tracking, geofencing, chain of custody, tamper detection, monitoring, addressing critical issues, recovery, and compliance controls.
- Partner with Procurement, Logistics, Global Security, Legal, and business collaborators to integrate security requirements into contracts, operating procedures, supplier expectations, and governance processes.
- Evaluate and implement logistics security technologies and vendor solutions, including telematics, embedded tracking, smart seals, monitoring platforms, and recovery services across multimodal transportation networks.
- Lead logistics security vendor assessments, pilots, implementations, and ongoing performance management to ensure effective execution, integration, monitoring, and service delivery.
- Conduct carrier and lane risk assessments, manage incident response and recovery efforts, and coordinate monitoring, customer concern handling, law enforcement coordination, evidence preservation, and after-action reviews.
- Measure program efficiency through security metrics, compliance monitoring, audits, policies, playbooks, supplier scorecards, and executive-level risk reporting to drive continuous improvement and security maturity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Security Management, Risk Management, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- Experience developing and managing logistics security, transportation risk, supply chain security, cargo protection, and high-value shipment programs with expertise in carrier management and security operations.
- Proven knowledge of shipment security controls, including cargo tracking, telematics, geofencing, route management, smart seals, tamper detection, monitoring, addressing critical issues, and recovery operations.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, managing vendors and supplier performance, analyzing security metrics and trends, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across multimodal logistics networks.
- Strong understanding of industry security frameworks (TAPA, CTPAT), cargo theft prevention, incident response, and working closely with Procurement, Logistics, Global Security, Legal, business leaders, external partners, and executive collaborators.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Security, Risk Management, Business Operations, or a related area, with industry-recognized certifications such as TAPA, CPP, PSP, CTPAT, ASIS, or equivalent preferred.
- Outstanding executive communication abilities with a talent for converting complex logistics security risks into clear recommendations, briefings, incident updates, and decision-ready materials for varied audiences.
- Proven ability to lead through fast paced security incidents using strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk-based decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrated success building positive relationships across internal collaborators, carriers, 3PLs, security providers, and external partners while driving accountability for security outcomes.
- Strong background in program management with the skills to balance security, operational feasibility, cost, scalability, customer commitments, and business continuity needs while employing AI-based tools intended to advance risk analysis, trend identification, and decision-making.
