Security Specialist

Must possess Top-Secret personnel security clearances and must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) special accesses. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in any security related field, such as industrial security, physical security and computer/network security. Must be skilled in creating complex spreadsheets (i.e. Excel, etc.), in preparing briefings (i.e. PowerPoint, etc.), Word, and Adobe Acrobat. Must be able to communicate clearly; must be able to provide security briefings and debriefings; must be able to provide comprehensive written communications. Must execute all assigned duties in a professional manner that demonstrates a strong commitment to customer service. This position shall provide direct support to the Data Intercept Technology Unit (DITU) and other OTD units in submitting, tracking, and interacting with private sector employees that are nominated by OTD for security clearances. This position shall be responsible for initiating background investigations and assisting Security Division in obtaining information as required during the investigation. This position shall be responsible for conducting security briefings and debriefings. This position shall maintain up-to-date clearance status records of the private sector employees and conduct frequent follow-up requests which must execute all assigned duties in a professional manner that demonstrates a strong commitment to customer service. . Initiate personnel security background investigations using various systems to include but not limited to the National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), FBI's BEAST, and Phoenix database. Respond to inquiries from Security Division in regard to the background investigations and continuous vetting alerts. Maintain a detailed record to track the progress of an individual's case as well as provide overall case statistics. Provide routine updates to the Technical POCs. Coordinate with various Field Offices and Headquarters Divisions for fingerprints and security clearance matters. Conduct Security Awareness Briefing (SAB) or coordinate the SAB with security office personnel at the appropriate FBI Field Office or Headquarters Division. Documents shall be uploaded in Phoenix/Sentinel. Assist with completing Personal Electronic Devices (PEDS) registration. Prepare Electronic Communications (EC) in Sentinel as required. Provide support as an Access Control Specialist when needed.

Period of Performance:

1 year base, with up to an additional 4 option years

Pay:

$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
