Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This role involves monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and incident prevention. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding safety standards while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity and ensure perimeter security. Control access points using security protocols and access control systems, verifying identities of visitors, contractors, and staff. Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security breaches or hazards. Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security breaches, following established procedures. Write detailed incident reports documenting any unusual activities, accidents, or security concerns for record-keeping and future reference. Perform background checks on visitors or contractors as required to ensure compliance with security policies. Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and intervening appropriately while maintaining conflict de-escalation techniques. Skills Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and conducting visual inspections. Knowledge of law enforcement procedures, emergency response protocols, and fire safety regulations. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or incident management. Excellent communication skills for conflict management, customer service interactions, and report writing. Familiarity with access control systems and physical security measures such as patrolling routes and perimeter checks. Basic first aid certification (CPR/AED) and familiarity with emergency response procedures. Experience in conflict de-escalation techniques, law enforcement collaboration, or military background is advantageous for handling high-pressure situations responsibly.
