Security Officer- 3Pm- 11PM Shifts

Job Details Description Minimum Skills and Abilities Required:

Must obtain State of Alabama Security Guard License within 30 days of employment High School Diploma or GED (May be waived by Director of Security) Ability to work well with others in achieving the goals of the company Must be able to work independently and work effectively under pressure Must be able to stand for long periods of time, climb stairs (to every level of a 15story building) and able to lift 40 pounds

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Performs physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as in climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, where the activities often also require considerable use of the arms and legs, such as in the physical handling of materials. Guards, patrols, monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises and respond to Emergencies, Alarms and Assist Front Desk with Evictions Raise/Lower Entrance Flags (as required and appropriate) Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences and report safety hazards. Provides information, directions, and courteous assistance to owners and guests. Checks cars for appropriate parking pass. Attends departmental meetings and performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Ability to work flexible hours, seven days a week. Required uniform apparel must be worn and fits properly. Must be washed/pressed, free from holes and stains. Safety non-slip shoes worn while on duty.
