Job Description

Purpose The Security Patrol and Compliance Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant environment for residents within the 55+ homeowner association. This role involves monitoring and patrolling the community, ensuring adherence to the HOA's rules and regulations, and reporting any security concerns, violations, or incidents. The officer will work to uphold the community's standards while offering a sense of safety and comfort to residents. This position is supervised by the A.S.C Manager.
Key Responsibilities Security Patrols :
Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols of the community, including common areas, parking lots, and streets. Monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized individuals enter the community. Respond to security calls, alarms, and incidents promptly. Observe and report any suspicious activity or unauthorized access to the HOA community. Ensure the safety of residents by monitoring lighting, signage, and other infrastructure.
Compliance Enforcement :
Enforce the HOA's rules and regulations concerning property maintenance, parking, noise, pet policies, and more. Issue warnings or citations for violations of community guidelines, maintaining clear documentation. Assist in resolving conflicts between residents regarding rule enforcement or neighborhood disturbances. Serve as a liaison between residents and Management, escalating serious issues as necessary.
Incident Response & Reporting :
Document and report security breaches, violations, accidents, and any other incidents that occur within the community. Communicate with local authorities (police, fire, medical) when necessary, providing them with accurate details of incidents. Maintain accurate records of daily patrols, incidents, citations, and compliance issues.
Resident Interaction :
Serve as a friendly point of contact for residents with concerns about safety, compliance, or other community matters. Promote a positive community atmosphere through friendly, respectful interactions with residents and visitors.

    Skills/Qualifications Education & Experience :
    • High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college education or relevant certifications (such as security or law enforcement training) is a plus.
    • Minimum three years previous experience in security, law enforcement, or community management is highly preferred, especially in a residential or senior living setting.
    Skills :
    • Strong observation and attention to detail.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to handle conflict resolution and enforce rules fairly and diplomatically.
    • Proficient in using security-related equipment (e.g., radios, surveillance systems).
    • Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency protocols.
    • Ability to work independently and handle potentially stressful situations.
    • Able to establish and maintain a positive, cooperative, and courteous working relationship with residents, guests, vendors, and contractors
    • Basic understanding of computers and ability to prepare basic correspondence and reports using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    • Able to pass rules test twice a year.
    • Must be able and licensed to drive security vehicles golf carts.
    • Maintain First Aid, defibrillator, and CPR training.
    • Must be bondable.
    Physical Requirements :
    • Ability to conduct foot or vehicle patrols for extended periods.
    • Ability to respond to emergencies quickly.
    • Must be able to handle physical tasks like walking long distances, climbing stairs, or assisting in an emergency situation if necessary. Working Conditions
    • This is a part-time position
    • The position may require night, weekend, or holiday shifts, depending on community needs and security concerns.
    • Officers will be expected to adhere to the dress code, which may include uniforms or identifiable security apparel.
    Pay:
    From $18.00 per hour
