Job Description

Security Officer Duties:
Overnights 2200 to 0600
  • Patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises
  • Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
  • Enforce property rules and regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks
  • Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors when needed
  • Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records Assist and enhance hotel management and owners in helping to reduce disturbances, theft, vandalism, criminal activities, unauthorized occupation of units, trespassing, fire and police emergencies, and personal injuries by providing professional safety and security services.
Tour property checking locks, monitoring parking, and watching for security and safety issues and incidents. Perform lock-up duties on the schedule provided. Check locks on all buildings and facilities. While on patrol, a security officer should be observant to fire, safety hazards, noise issues, and other disturbances, trespassing, vandalism, criminal activity, etc… Strive to make yourself as visible, and accessible to the guests/tenants as possible.
Experience:
  • Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and procedures is a plus
  • Familiarity with security equipment is desirable
  • Strong observation and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations

In this role, it will be your job to ensure the safety of everyone who works in or visits our clients' locations. You will also be responsible for ensuring the safety of our clients' property as one of our security guards. Your main task will be to patrol a designated area to make it secure. You will set up security controls, monitor access to the property, and investigate instances of suspicious behavior. When a security issue arises, you will respond to it based on the training you receive and our company's policies. To do well in this role, you will need to be highly observant and capable of accurately assessing the severity of each situation.
