Job Summary Job Summary Under general supervision, the Campus Security supports the school administration in maintaining a safe, secure, and student-centered campus; protects students, staff, and property; actively and positively influences and supervises students on campus; provides monitoring and security, as appropriate, to maintain control of the campus and its parking areas; responds to alarms and calls for assistance; performs a variety of preliminary investigative and protective duties; prepares and maintain a variety of records and reports.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
One or more successful years of paid experience performing security duties in the public or private sector, preferably in an educational setting.

EXPERIENCE CREDIT
A maximum of three years may be granted for experience outside the Beaumont Unified School District. Therefore, the maximum starting salary for an external new hire in this position is $27.19 per hour (Range 14/Step 4).
