Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and professional Armed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive patrols, access control, and emergency response. Duties Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches. Manage access control systems to regulate entry and exit points, ensuring only authorized personnel gain access. Handle firearm responsibilities in accordance with all safety protocols and legal regulations. Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their security concerns courteously. Respond swiftly to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical incidents, or security threats, following established emergency response procedures. De-escalate conflicts or tense situations through effective communication and conflict resolution techniques. Write detailed incident reports documenting any security incidents or irregularities observed during shifts. Enforce security policies and procedures consistently to maintain a safe environment for all occupants. Utilize fire safety equipment and participate in safety drills as required. Requirements Valid armed security license or certification as mandated by local regulations. Proven experience in physical security, law enforcement, or related fields preferred. Ability to handle firearms responsibly and safely at all times. Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor. Knowledge of conflict de-escalation techniques and emergency response procedures. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail during patrols and inspections. Ability to operate access control systems effectively. Strong communication skills for report writing and interaction with team members and the public. Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and respond quickly in emergency situations.
