Unarmed Security Officer Resolute Protection Services Elk Grove, CA Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Full-time | Contract $25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Physical security incident response Crime prevention Theft prevention procedures Loss prevention Physical security emergency response Full Job Description Officers are expected to maintain a professional presence, provide exceptional customer service, deter criminal activity, and ensure a safe shopping environment for customers and employees. Report in full security uniform. Maintain a clean, professional appearance. Remain alert and avoid personal device use unless authorized. Post Responsibilities Stand at the main entrance greeting customers. Provide customer assistance. Maintain situational awareness. Observing for suspicious behavior, theft, disorderly conduct, hazards, property damage, unattended items, and loitering. Theft Response Verbally engage only. Do not use physical force or attempt to recover merchandise from a suspect. Do not pursue suspects outside. Recover merchandise only if abandoned. Notify law enforcement when appropriate and complete an incident report. Break Schedule 8-hour shifts: 10-minute breaks at approximately 3.5 and 7 hours; 30-minute meal at approximately 5 hours. 6-hour shifts or less: 10-minute breaks at approximately 2.5 and 5 hours. Emergency Procedures Call 911 for emergencies, then notify DWR/RPS management. Reporting Requirements Document all significant incidents including thefts, disturbances, property damage, injuries, police responses, suspicious persons, and safety hazards before the end of shift. Professional Conduct Remain professional, de-escalate whenever possible, avoid arguments, follow company policies, and maintain confidentiality
