Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and observant Security Patrol Officer to perform regular patrols—by foot and/or vehicle—of assigned properties to ensure the safety, security, and compliance of the premises. The role is integral to identifying potential threats, preventing property damage, and providing a visible deterrent to trespassing and unauthorized activity.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct scheduled and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned property. Monitor and report on the overall status and condition of the property. Identify and address trespassing, suspicious activity, and unauthorized persons. Report maintenance issues and safety or liability concerns, such as trip hazards or broken infrastructure. Observe and report incidents of vandalism or property damage. Monitor tenant compliance with lease terms and property regulations. Respond promptly to emergency situations and coordinate with emergency services when necessary. Accurately document all incidents, observations, and actions in daily activity reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age. Possession of a valid California Guard Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Valid California driver's license (for vehicle patrol positions). Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Strong observational and decision-making skills. Must be able to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, walk, or drive for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. May be exposed to outdoor conditions including inclement weather.

Work Environment:

Patrols may involve both indoor and outdoor environments. Interaction with tenants, members of the public, and emergency personnel is frequent. Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
