The EMT Officer is responsible for providing first-response medical care for Guests and Team Members who suffer illness or injury on CRCR property in a compassionate, ethical and tactful manner. The EMT Officer responds to incidents involving Guests and/or Team Members and writes thorough reports documenting the circumstances and care given. Position Functions Essential Functions Perform all duties of a Security Officer I or II, as needed. Train new Security Officers. Take proactive steps to provide a safe and secure atmosphere for Guests and Team Members and to prevent injury by identifying, addressing, and resolving any unsafe conditions. Supervise and coordinate Security Officers to protect people and assets on-premises. Guard all transfers of monies and chips at CRCR and the physical transportation of hopper fills, chips fills, and credits. Maintain and ensure proper operation of all medical equipment. Conduct certification training for Team Members utilizing various Red Cross training programs. Interact with local law enforcement agencies as required. Adhere to objectivity and exercise sound independent judgment and emotional control. Assist with maintaining inventory of medical equipment. Safely drives assigned motor vehicles to transport individuals to and from locations. Maintain positive control of assigned keys. Effectively utilizes radio communication systems and departmental codes and call signs. Uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age. High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate). Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid CPR AED and First Aid certification (provided by CRCR). Must attend a defensive techniques training course (provided by CRCR). Must have and maintain CA or NREMT certification. Knowledge of verbal dispute resolution techniques. Knowledge of de-escalation and self-defense techniques. Basic anatomy knowledge and knowledge of pressure point compliance techniques. Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred qualifications:
3+ years' experience in the Security and/or Surveillance department. Experience in a gaming atmosphere. 2+ years' experience as a First Responder or EMT. CA state BSIS Guard Card. CLSO (Certified Lodging Security Officer), PSC (Physical Security Certification), and/or CPO (Certified Protection Officer) certification. Disclaimer This document is for informational purposes only.
