Lincoln, CA Job Details $18.50 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Phone communication Radio communication systems Full Job Description The Venue Security Officer will screen Guests entering The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort. The Venue Security Officer will also ensure the safety and security of Guests, Team Members, performers, and Thunder Valley Casino Resort assets by monitoring crowds during concerts and events. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort's "ELITE" company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times. 2. Patrol and observe all areas of The Venue including seating areas, lobby, and back of house areas. 3. Screen Guests during entry via hand wand or electronic detection system to ensure that Guests do not bring contraband into The Venue. 4. Remain constantly alert and respond to all disturbances in order to defuse incidents, being prepared to de-escalate situations when necessary. 5. Observe and report all suspicious activity, people, unusual situations, and emergencies, and take immediate action as required. 6. Provides Guests with helpful directions that will enhance their entertainment experience. 7. Display friendly, courteous, and polite behavior to internal and external Guests at all times. 8. Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive work atmosphere. 9. Give full attention to Guest opportunities and takes ownership of these opportunities to ensure Guest satisfaction. 1. High School education or equivalent preferred. 2. Previous work experience in security or guest services preferred. 3. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form. 4. Valid CA driver's license. 5. Must be at least 18 years of age. 6. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. 2. Must have the ability to subdue person(s), run, climb stairs, sit, stand, or walk for duration of shift. 3. Must have the ability to lift and drag an unconscious person during an evacuation. 4. Must have acute senses of smell and sound. 5. Must be able to communicate using a two-way radio and telephone. 6. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance. 7. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
