Active Top Secret/SCI Position Overview Our client is seeking a Security / Access Control Specialist to support operations at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA. This position is responsible for providing cleared security escort services for contractors performing work within restricted and controlled-access areas. The successful candidate will help ensure compliance with government security requirements while maintaining safe and secure access to mission facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a security professional seeking a consistent part-time schedule supporting a critical Department of Defense mission. Key Responsibilities Escort uncleared or visitor personnel working within controlled and restricted areas. Ensure all escorted personnel comply with government security policies and installation procedures. Control access to secure facilities and verify proper authorization for entry. Maintain accountability of visitors and contractors while inside restricted areas. Report security concerns, policy violations, or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel. Complete required escort logs and security documentation. Coordinate with government security personnel and site leadership to ensure mission support requirements are met. Maintain professionalism while representing the security team in daily interactions with government personnel and contractors. Required Qualifications Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance. Ability to obtain and maintain base access. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Ability to walk, stand, and escort personnel throughout secure facilities for extended periods. Prior military, Department of Defense, industrial security, physical security, or access control experience is preferred. Preferred Experience Experience serving as a Security Escort, Access Control Specialist, Activity Security Representative (ASR), Program Security Representative (PSR), Security Assistant, or Facility Security Officer support. Familiarity with DoD security procedures and controlled-area operations. Experience working within secure government or contractor environments.
